Humbert: "I played an amazing match (to beat Hurkacz)!
Ugo Humbert put in a superb performance this Saturday in Marseille to see off Hubert Hurkacz and reach the final. Facing the current best server of the tour, the Frenchman managed to break 1 time by set, in order to beat the Pole for the 1st time in 4 encounters.
Humbert: "Mentally, it wasn't easy because I'd lost all my 3 previous matches against him. But I was very solid from the begining, I broke right from the start and it gave me confidence. I played a fantastic match and I'm really happy to be in the final.
He's currently the best server in terms statistics. It's not easy because there are games where you don't play a single return. So you have to accept it, move on and stay focused on your own serve.
At 4/3 in the 2nd set, it was a key moment. I tried to push myself to be more aggressive because I was a bit tense (laughs). But that's normal and I'm very happy with my performance today."
